My mother was a gardener, tennis player & a great cook. And of course a great parent of her three boys. She was a Catholic & introduced us to her faith, which we thought about on a daily basis. And she was a great grandmother to her nine grandchildren who she loved. My father became a tea trader after WW2. He started his career in India.

Gerard Brunning was a great supporter of CAFOD throughout his life. In St Anne Line parish in South Woodford, he used to collect for CAFOD after Sunday Mass, and his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews were recipients of the annual Traidcraft Advent calendar.
